11 best healthy food habits [for everyone-2021]

Hello everyone, Welcome to this blog. Before starting I would like to inform you that this is my first blog post. So it may contain some mistakes and errors, so forgive me for that.

Now let's look at the article.

Now, in this blog, we are going to look at the best healthy food habits or also known as good food habits that everyone needs to follow to have a healthy life.

These food are some of the healthiest food habits that can be followed by everyone like adults, kids, students, etc.
But before starting, let's look at some basic things about healthy food habits.

1)HEALTHY FOOD

What is food?

I know, when you hear the word, "food" the things that pop in our heads are pizza, burgers, all the things we can imagine. But No, the real question is, What is healthy food?


What is healthy food?

Basically healthy food or good food means that eating a variety of food that gives us the
nutrients we need to maintain our health (both physically and mentally).


This food contains proteins, carbohydrates, fat, water, vitamins minerals, and everything needed for our health. I think that you know the answers to this. But still, I wanted to give a short version of the answer. A kick-start to the memory.

Here, I have not only mentioned the facts but also its reason and some of them with links to pages that speak about them very deeply.

What is a healthy food habit?

Healthy food habits or proper eating habits are the way in which we eat our food, what we eat, and with whom we eat.

I know, it may sound a little peculiar, but read on, you will start to understand it as you read the whole article-I mean completely 👀👀👀👀👀.


2)INTRODUCTION

 
Food gives us the energy to do our day-to-day activities. Without food we can't do anything.So it is the essential thing in our life, it can be either plant or animals. so we should be careful about what we eat and how we eat.

I try to follow these eating habits as much as possible (At least 4 or 5 of them). So try to follow at least some of them. It is certainly better than not following any these healthier eating habits. So without further boring you, let’s look at the best tips for healthy eating habits.


3)HEALTHY FOOD HABITS


Our health begins with what we eat and even the way we eat it also matters. There should enough goodness and taste so that everything is balanced.
Now let’s see about a healthy plate of food - it contains the food that should be present in our daily life to create a balanced diet
.
Nutrients, it is the key to a healthy lifestyle. If you take a full plate of meals, half your plate should be green vegetables and the other half should be divided among other nutrients like carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals.


Now let us look at these healthy habits. 

1. Always eat in portions, divide the food into parts containing proteins, fibers and other essential, so that we can ensure that we are taking every essential nutrient .as you know that these nutrients must be present in our body to make sure that our body functions properly.

2. Intake more veggies including most healthy ones including spinach, carrot, green peas, broccoli, and garlic. In fact, these are the healthiest veggies on the planet. I am sure that you would've heard it a hundred times. But still

3. Avoid other oils and intake more of olive oil as it is loaded with antioxidants which helps to prevent chronic diseases and fight inflammation and helps prevent blood cholesterol and lower the risk of heart diseases.

4. As you know, avoid junk and processed food which is kind of difficult for everyone but it should be under control, at least, and sweetened drinks as they are a source of sugar that causes weight gain. This can cause heart disease and even heart attack.

5. Drink lots of water at least 8 glasses a day, drinking water 30 minutes before having food can help in weight loss. But don't drink mineral or packed water as they do not contain fluoride and this can cause fluoride deficient related problems. Do not drink too much water as it can also cause some harm to the body.

6. Most important meal of the day is breakfast so never skip it, the breakfast is important for metabolism provides energy for the entire day, so be sure to have your breakfast and a healthy one too.

7. Do not drink diet drinks or diet sodas because it too can be harmful to us.it can cause weight gain, heart problems. Most recently it was found that soda drinkers have the possibility of stroke and dementia.

8. You can drink green tea instead of other drinks due to its many advantages like anti-oxidants, reduction in weight, and many other benefits. So try to drink green tea.

9. Chew your food nicely at least 32 times before swallowing it and take less air inside your mouth while chewing so that it does not cause any gastric troubles.

10. Always pack your food in a limited amount. If you have a large plate you will eat more without knowing. The larger the plate the higher you eat. Don't watch T.V or other entertainment stuff during eating this also causes overeating without knowing also known as mindless eating.

11. Never eat at night, eating at night is not a good idea if you want to reduce your weight.


4)Healthy foods


Some of the healthy foods that I think that is important to know about are

8. Yogurt
9. Pulses and grains
10. Lentils
11. Oatmeals
12. Wheat


Be sure to add these to your food and follow a healthy and balanced diet.
 

5)Advantages of healthy food habits


Now let's see why healthy eating habits are important and their advantages.

  1. These kinds of healthy food habits can improve your immunity against some types of diseases like obesity, cancer, heart diseases, etc.
  2. They can also help you to reduce your weight and help to strengthen your bones and teeth.
  3. Following good food habits can help us to improve our memory power.
  4. These proper food habits can help us to maintain a healthy heart free of any heart diseases.
  5. Sometimes these healthy food habits can help to reduce the risk of certain types of cancers.
  6. Eating healthy food can reduce the risks of stroke.
  7. These proper food habits and healthy foods can help us maintain a better mood.
  8. They can also help us reduce stress and tension.
  9. These proper eating habits can help us prevent many other diseases.

6)Effects of eating unhealthy food and bad food habits


  • First, eating unhealthy foods or having unhealthy eating habits would make us stressed, very tired and reduce our capacity to do work for a long time
  • And next, it can develop illnesses of some kind like obesity, tooth decay, and many other problems.
  • It can also increase the risk of heart diseases and stroke.
  • It can cause a spike in blood pressure and blood sugar levels
  • Unhealthy food can also cause headaches.


So please be sure to follow at least some of these so that you can have a healthy and active mind and body. My views on some of the topics related to maintaining a healthy food habit.


7)Challenges of following healthy eating habits


Now let’s see about the challenges faced by everyone if they follow healthy and proper food habits. I have faced this a many times and if you have to mention in comments which challenge did you face . These are the ones that I face personally.

The price 


The first and the common reason would be the price of the food. This is the main reason that prevents everybody or makes them think before choosing healthy food. And the cost of fast foods is also low compared to healthy foods .so many people buy their foods from outside or prepare the food at home which lacks all the essential nutrients that we need.


The looks 


Compared to healthy foods the fast foods are visually attractive and it tastes better than healthier food (sometimes). This also causes me to think before choosing good food.


Lack of time

The important issue that people face nowadays is the lack of time due to their busy work.


Our environment

Another reason would be our environment maybe there is no store near you or your friends invite you to parties and make you eat the fast foods and other unhealthy food and drinks, no one can say no to friend, right. At least when many are compelling.

Work 

Some kinds of work require you to travel a lot and maybe some of us don’t even know where you would be the next day, for people with jobs like this it can be difficult to find the healthy foods available near you.


Tiredness 

Many people, after a long day of work, may find it difficult to gather energy to find and cook healthier foods, so they tend to order online or buy fast foods that is readily available.


Lack of knowledge


Some people don’t follow these good food habits because they simply don’t know the negative effects of what this can cause to them.

8)How are healthy food or eating habits developed?

I think that it is necessary to develop the habit from childhood. We should be determined to follow these eating habits whatever happens. at least try to follow them.

9)Healthy food habits and exercise

It is a known fact that if your exercise and workout should have an excellent effect it is also necessary to follow the healthiest food habits. if you eat unhealthy foods and carry out the wrong exercise or workout the results would be little to no.


10)Proper eating habits and balanced diet

According to the world health organization,  a healthy diet can prevent malnutrition and some non-communicable diseases like cancer, diabetes, stroke,  etc……
